I used to have really bad agorophobia, I hated leaving the house cause I was worried about what other people thought of me.

I went to a psychiatrist and they proscribed me fluoxetine? and another time prozac. All it ever did was make me really tired and numb all the time. So I dumped them into the toilet.

I'm 23 now, and I'm 100 times better no thanks to the drugs. I found I just forced myself to confront the things I was anxious about...it was painful sometimes the kind of situations I had to confront, got terrible sweats, or my stomach was sick or I always wanted to run but I always just stayed.

Eventually I was less worried about them. It doesnt fix the problem completely cause I still get those days sometimes I just dont want to leave the house.

But all in all the drugs didn't do much, and it worries me the damage they may have done to my body. I know it's hard to just go out and confront things and doing it once doesnt make it better but you should try. The pop a pill solution now a days isn't doing the right thing I think, just making more money for the pharmaceutical companies.
