Testicular cancer is most prevelant from 13 to 22 years of age. The development years. There are occasions of boys getting it younger and men getting it older but that is rare. You need to know how to do a "Testicular Self Exam" A TSE is very simple and very important. It should be done once a month but can be done once a week if you want. You need to spend some time feeling and getting to know your genitals. You need to feel your scrotum find each testicle hold them gently in between your fingers and roll them around very gently. This is important. You need to know what normal feels like for you so that if you get a bump, bulge, swelling, etc you can feel it and watch it over a few days or weeks and if it does not go away go see your doctor immediately. The best time to do a TSE is while you are taking a hot or warm shower. Your scrotum will be relaxed and the testicles will be hanging low so they can easily be touched. If you need more information google it Testicular Self Exam. Testicular cancer is very curable if found early. They simply remove the cancerous testicle. That is no big deal because one testicle does more than enough to make sure you have sperm and testosterone. They can insert a fake testicle so noone will ever know it is missing and you will look very normal in the locker room or public baths.

Kids can definitely get testicular cancer. They can also get testicular torsion (twisted ball basically) which can be very dangerous.
If he feels something he needs to go to his parents and see the Doc ASAP. Testicular cancer can be very deadly, but can be easily cured if caught in time!
(Lance Armstrong had it, look what he did!)
