Default Pregnancy Anxiety Questions We All Ask Ourselves?

Or is it just me?? lol I sit and wonder everyday HOW CAN I BE A GOOD MOTHER? When 1.) I'm deathly afraid of public toilets(whats with the loud sound when you flush). 2.) I won't sleep with my feet over the bed(never know when someone or something will be under there hungry for feet) 3.) I absolutely can not be home alone( I will literally call anyone to come over or to pick me up) 4.) I eat like a 4 year old still( not even my lil brother will eat a tomato, olives, onions. But I no I cannot eat anything "ADULT-ISH" maybe its from being raised by a single mom(not that being a single mom is bad) with fast meals like tuna and hamburger helper, pizza bagels, nachos, any quick meal you can think of I like cause thats what my body is use too. 5.) Everyone says I whine a lot (but I have no idea what there talking about but a lot of people say I do so I guess I do =/)

I guess my question is how can I change for the sake of my fiance and son?
Oh and I forgot I can't cook at all I can make a mean bowel of cereal but other than that I have no talent in the kitchen unless were talking about cleaning
Sorry meant my lil brother WILL eat all those gross things and he's only 3
Ok I am trying to "GROW UP" People can't help it when they have phobias

As for the junk food I agree but I just can't change my taste buds over night and I have been trying I mean I can now eat a carrot without it being drenched in ranch I know its a lil step but hey its a step!!! I can also eat steak without any hot sauce yet another lil step but still a step

It's just you, at least as far as actual grown-ups go.

Time to grow up; your toilet phobia is one thing, but you don't want to be passing on junk food habits to your kid, or be unable to take care of him unless you're being taken care of -- how on earth do people put up with that can't-be-alone thing?

Mean? Perhaps. But that's just nuts.

You sound a little like me! I can't cook anything but I can microwave everything. Now don't get me wrong I can cook simple things like Spaghetti and stuff that comes premade in the box and you just have to add water, milk, and butter. I can not sleep with my feet out of the covers and hanging over the bed. Even if I am in a deep sleep I'll wake up and move over or up. I don't really whine, though, probably cuz I know what i have and I appreciate every second of it so there isn't anything to whine about. I eat what I cook so if I dont' know how to cook then I eat like crap! You just have to become motivated to do different things. Try one new thing every week and then it'll become a custom and you'll forget all your old, bad habits.

Relax, silly. Nothing you listd here is going to damage your child.

People think "healthy" food has to be nasty. It doens't. Make a few small choices. Get whole grain spaghetti instead of regular stuff. Buy light mayo and make a simple turkey sandwich. Choose baked chips. Baked potatoes. Chicken breast stuck in the oven for 20 minutes are really good. Instant rice (brown or white) etc. It doesn't have to be greasy or dripping with cheese to be yummy and still healthy.

And hey-- cereal is pretty good too! even stuff like cinnomon toast crunch, if you read the nutrition panel, doesn't have very much fat and is fortified with lots of great vitamins and iron.

The trick is finding things you genuinely like that aren't so bad, not trying to force yourself to like other stuff. And as long as you aren't constnatly going, "eww, gross, dont eat that!" to your child, he or she will decide for themself what they like.

That's kind of how I was before I had my daughter. And while I was pregnant, we bought our first house, and my fiance worked nights. SO, I had to be at home, pregnant, and alone AT NIGHT. It was horrifiying at first.

But the reality is that you will get used to it. You'll learn to be alone (or at least alone with your son), you'll learn to cook (surprisingly, I did), you'll learn to try new foods or at least prepare the ones you like healthier (whole wheat bagles with sause and part-skim cheese thrown in the oven for 15 minutes makes a mean bagel pizza that's good for you too), and you'll probably still whine a lot haha, I do too

Basically what I'm saying is that becoming a parent really changes you. You'll get used to the things you're scared of (even if it means sleeping on the couch for a few months like I did hahah).
