Default Suffering Anxiety attacks?

I have been having anxiety attacks now since this spring. Am on my 3rd medication to help with them as they tried Zanax, Efexor and Lexapro. When on the Lexapro, I was so depressed & even suicidal, which I hadn't had since I was a teen, so insisted the doctor put me back on the Efexor. I have been reading a lot of books lately from the library, and they have a lot of herbal remedies to try for anxiety, but I'm wondering if anyone else has tried these with success as I just ordered Valerian root, vitamin B complex, and St Johns Wort. Has anyone else tried these for anxiety attacks? I also have been put on a beta blocker now as well as since the doctor put me on the anti-depressants, my blood pressure has been very high & heart rate very high at a resting point also. I'd really LOVE to be able to get off all these meds and take herbal instead....
