Default I'm 35yr old Male. 6 ' 0; 208lbs, I have High BP and suffer from

anxiety/procrastination, but I do take meds About 3 months ago, doctor decreased my dose of High Blood Pressure pills

About a month ago, he switched me from Zoloft to Effexor for anxiety/anti-depressants

I been sooo tired lately. Doesn't matter if its morning, afternoon or evening. I could take a nap at any time during the day and have no problems falling a sleep. I hate this. I want my energy back.

I've also noticed that my sex drive has decreased considerably. Not that the wife and I have sex that often (once every 3 mos), but still, I've noticed even my "desire" to masturbate has decreased.

I need advice please, but nothing stupid. Answer only if you can respond intelligently.

Thank You

I'm on effexor xr 75 mg, and have noticed some of the same problems. Fortunately, the lack of sexual desire is only a side effect, and will go away.

In response to your other issues, if you try a healthier diet, you'll have more energy than you know what to do with. I wish you the best of luck.

you should talk to your doc about switching your meds back. antidepressants will alter your sex drive along with high blood pressure meds. you've got a double whammy! you need to look at why you are depressed and maybe try counseling (i know, everybody has to play the counseling card) it might seem stupid, but it does help for some people. you should also try to talk the wifey into steppin it up in the bedroom, try new things, and spice it up. Good Luck!

You can do this, I have the same problem I am 5'11 and 188#s You have to instill new habits. Start with getting proper rest no soda after dinner no caffeen after lunch if you can. Drink more milk and try a bannana before bed and list your goals for the next day on paper. Cross them off as you complete them. Also make weekly and monthly goals also write them down on paper and keep up with them. Limit salt and sugar intake and get that 8 hours of rest everynight. I know I am in your shoes. It works and you will feel so much better in less than a week I promise.
The rest and eating habits will increase you ability to have intercourse and now the drive.
Change things up with your wife. Watch a video or go to a live show maybe ever a gentlemans club it will fix more than you know.
