I think my dog my have seperation anxiety or... Just hates being stuck in a room for to long.. Which do you think it is?

Sometimes when i leave the house or have to go to school, I have to lock my dog in my room so she wont use the bathroom in the living room. She wont use the bathroom in my room but anywhere else if not walked for 5 to 7 hours she will use the bathroom unless in my room.

She is a cocker spaniel and is 4 years old. And when i locked her in my room after about 10 to 15 minutes maybe even sooner she doesnt scratch but bang scratches my door. She has torn of the paint and even peices of wood. Once i left her for about 2 to 3 hours and she had ripped a big chunk of my carpet from my floor from either crawlign at the door to much or maybe biting i do not know.

So is it her hatin being in a room alone, or seperation anexity?

However if she's in the living room sometimes and no ones home she is perfectly fine, unless she tears up the trash.
She has even one time ripped up a plastic bag full of platic bags as well when no one was home and left in the living room.

She probably has past memories and doesn't like being trapped in things! i would take her to the vet!
