Default Anxiety People?

Is it normal for people who have anxiety to experience such symptoms?
*shortness of breath
*chest pain after exertion or for no reason
*muscle spasms
*throbbing
*trembling hands
*dry mouth...

I think I might have a problem in my heart or brain even though I"m only 17..What really worries me is the chest pain after exertion!!! Help, please, I'm going insane ='(

I have anxiety issues and i usually get them due to worrying about my kids. I got put in the hospital because i was having so much pain in my stomach that i couldn't stand up and i was having a hard time breathing and my chest was hurting. I don't have any of the other symptoms though so it is hard to say. Check www.webmd.com and put your symptoms in and see what comes up. It's cheaper than going to the hospital if you just freaking out.

It sounds like anxiety, but even at 17 you can have a genetic heart defect that can cause these symptoms---tell your mom and get to your doctor-- he can do what is called a Thallium stress test--which you just walk/run on a treadmill while they monitor your heart and then inject you with a medicine to take pictures of your heart--that along with an echocardiogram- which is an ultrasound machine that takes a different picture of your heart and an ekg which checks the rhythm of your heart and blood tests will give you a clean bill of health for your heart.

If it is just anxiety-- and I say just -- literally--- because anxiety is harder to fix-- you will need medication to help deal with your stress.

Good luck to you and believe me you are not going insane--you need a good physical--in fact-- your thyroid can cause some of your symptoms as well as a sugar imbalance so tell your mom and get to the doctors---don't do any physical activities until you get checked out.......

Go see a doctor and explain all of these symptoms you been having. Ask for an EKG (Electrocardiogram) this test will check the health of the heart when other diseases or conditions are present, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cigarette smoking, diabetes or a family history of early heart disease.

I had similar symptoms like the ones you mentioned and it turned out that I had high cholesterol. Hope you feel better.

Well, you should certainly have yourself checked by a doctor. It is unusual for one as young as you to have actual chest pains.

I expect that they symptoms you describe will probably turn out to be a panic reaction but it wouldn't hurt to get a checkup to be on the safe side. It's quick and doesn't hurt.
