Default Can you start taking antidepressants for anxiety & then stop & be Ok then?

I've heard you have a chemical imbalance causing anxiety. So If you take the antidepressant, does it fix the chemical imbalance? Once you have taken it for a while are fixed? Can you then stop taking it & your ok?

What have you taken for panic attacks & has it worked? Can you stop taking it & be OK?
But once you come off the medication slowly, is the imbalance still there?

Are you cured?
or do you have to take the medication the rest of your life?

No. The imbalance will most likely always be there. Don't stop taking it, the panic attacks might get even worse, and the effects of stopping those type of meds cold turkey are NOT good. You must SLOWLY cut down.
