Default Have you ever heard of a woman having a heart attack??

Serioulsy i've never heard of a woman have a heart attack.

I personally believe ( no disrespect) that women generally lead less stressfull lives. Could this be a factor?
Gambaree - That makes a lot of sense what you have just written.

Well women are less at risk of heart attacks because they have the hormone oestrogen.. and they have social support. unlike men who lock everything up inside and try and carry on dealing with they're problems.

This is an extract from an article by The Texas Heart Institute:

'Cardiovascular diseases affect more women than men and heart attacks are generally more severe in women than in men. In the first year after a heart attack, women are more than 50 percent more likely to die than men – especially young women. In the first six years after a heart attack, women are almost twice as likely to have a second heart attack.'

I can DEFINITELY attest to the fact that women do have heart attacks...I've taken care of them when I worked in the clinical setting. We are blessed with a gender protection until we go through menopause, then our risk factors become almost identical to men's. Stress is a risk factor for heart attacks, but not a major one.
