I have Mitral Valve Prolapse and have been to the ER many times this year for discomfort. Each time they tell me that my condition is mild and my Doctor agrees. He has prescribed meds and used me as a lab rat to see if they will help. They do not. The pain is persistant. Stress seems to trigger it. I reached 184 beats per minute on my stress test, so it's not sounding too bad,... but my heart really.. does Hurt. What can I do to make it stronger? I do not ... ahh.. I do not want to die young like my Mother because of the heart condition. She was only 39. Please give advice.

Switch doc's... sounds too me like you need serveral opnions too make sure your getting the care u deserve.. I have a heart murmur and small one .. def not serious like yours.... but one day I almost stopped breathing and my heart was beating soo fast that it made me pass out... and by the time the ambulence got me too the hosptial .. it would stop beating so fast like it was and they would tell me they couldnt find anything! I did this for yrs.. bak and forth from feeling like I was going to die and then being fine when I got to the hospitial.. its tricky apparently too find heart problems.. but good luck and god bless.
