Default Heart attack?

Is it uncommon for someone, who has suffered a recent, mild heart attack, to be given a full written release back to normal working conditions by their doctor 3 days later (nothing came up in the Ekg or scan but he is visibly weaker and hoped to be able to take a week for recouperation)?

Shouldn't all hospitals policies (at least in these types of procedures) err on the side of caution? I know this person and he is a hard working older vet who isn't trying to get a free vacation. Any thoughts? Thanks.

It sounds like a very mild heart attack, but three days doesn't sound like along time. Is he obese? Maybe the doctor thinks exercise is more important!

My mom suffered a TIA, somewhat a prelude to a stroke or a heart attack but nothing wrong came out of her CT scan or EkG. She was discharged after 3 days and her cardiologist did not specifically advise her to take things slowly or rest for sometime.

If something shows up in the patient's EkG, then the doctor should have advised the patient to rest or take it slow.
