Hardening of the arteries due to hypertension .. normally the arteries are kinda elastic so they can coop with the change of the blood tension over their walls .. this elasticity is lost in arteriosclerosis

Progressive hardening of the arteries due to long standing hypertension. In this case cardiovascular arteries are hardened, compromising blood flow to the heart muscle and tissue. complications include Angnia Pectoris, MI (Heart Attack) and Heart faliure.
