Default I know this is not the right category but waasn't getting answers in mens health?

does anyone know about the vasectomy laws in Arkansas I have been told by many people if the man is married that he has to have his wife signature to get the vasectomy done
just wondering if there is any truth behind this???
Well I was just wondering me and a friend were debating it on the phone earlier but I think I might call and just see

In Arkansas, I wouldn't doubt it. Just kidding. Actually, that may be true. However, once you see a urologist to discuss having the procedure, the doctor will tell you if that is the law or not.

According to Planned Parenthood, this is not required by law in any state. A doctor or clinic may required it by policy, but no law requires it.

I believe it's the same for men as well as women in most, if not all, states. If you are married, your spouse is involved in the decision. It is only natural that they should be. You could call one of the doctor's offices and inquire. Don't give your name, simply state what you are wanting done and ask if your wife needs to accompany you.

I think that is the case in many states. It makes sense.
