Default Whenever I read an article about mens health, particulary mental health,...

...the article lacks compassion? Especially if written by a woman. I don’t mean to be offensive but I just read an article in Newsweek about male depression and the woman's writing lacked any sensitivity to the issue. Maybe women are trying to manipulate men into seeking healthcare. Stating men should "own up" to their psychological problems, that way making it “manly” to seek help. Why do women think it’s necessary to always play games with mens' minds? When you read an article about female depression they are made out as victims of a disease, male sufferers of depression are made out as a nuisance. That’s why they don’t seek help. This approach is irresponsible in my opinion. It almost seemed the author, Julie Scelfo, was irritated that she received this assignment. Compassion is the key to good medical treatment isn’t it? Do men not deserve compassion when they are sick? Hope this wasnt too much? Thanks for your comments...
There's no crime in having a disorder, whatever it is," says Aberle, 38. "The crime is not dealing with it. It's your responsibility to be at the top of your game." Taking care of yourself physically, mentally and emotionally—maybe that's the real definition of what it means to be a man.
look at that crap, your duty to get better? What if you cant? Then you failed as a man...Pure insanity...

it is good observation, things are going even worse...when they are psychiatrists...generally i doubt in possibility that man can deal with female psychology, and vice versa
and as man is physicly stronger, for woman is solution to search psychical weak points
...in another hand it is much easier to make diagnostic categories and medicate, then to try to analyse problem

Women like that are usually militant feminists in most other aspects of their lives as well. Try not to take it too hard, she's probably got b*lls anyway......... I think all that's really needed from blokes in this area is to admit to themselves first that they have an issue with their health, that done, the flow of nature will now take its course. Because you are now open to empathy or an outstretched hand you just might accept it......... :0)

PEACE
