Not to be rude, but I would make the assumption you are overreacting. He is most likely simply maturing, and losing hair that grew during when he was still more "developing" than he was "growing"; so to speak. For a toddler to have a "receding" hairline seems quite infeasible. Receding hairline is a symptom of Male Pattern Baldness. That is the most common and overwhelming cause of such hair loss. Hair loss from other conditions, diseases, syndromes, etc, do not cause such "pattern baldness" but rather typically cause random loss of hair in splotches, or simply generalized thinning of the hair.Your doctor is right, simply keep on eye on it
