Kitten losing hair on ears and around eyes?

We adopted a kitten from the Animal Shelter he is about 8 weeks old. When we brought him home he was perfectly fine. Today we noticed that when we rubbed his ears his hair fell right off and it kinda looked like soft little white scabs with hair in them. Does anybody have any idea what this could possible be. I have 2 other cats and they have never had any problem and they are 4-6. Just this new little guy.

that happend to my cat n sorry to say but yah it died so if I was u I would take it to the vet its probly ringworm or someting like that but if i was u I would be best to take to the vet

sounds like either and allergy to fleas, or an allergic reaction to the food you are feeding him. just to be safe...treat with frontline plus for cats...and switch to a food with NO byproducts, dies, dairy, wheat, corn or soy.. try eagle pack holistic select chicken and rice formula...or wellness, or innova...also feed him from a steal or glass bowl... plastic can be irritating as well!

It sounds like ringworm.If you do a home remedy use an anti-fungal cream 3 times a day...use gloves...it is contagious...best advice is a vet check....my cats had that....I had a kitten that had it too...keep it away from other animals if you have other animals and be prepared to possibly get it yourself or other people in the house if they handle it...I got it and was out of work for 2 weeks...
