Default I want to ask a very important Q about my HAIR LOSS (baldness) which is as under :?

I am a 28 year old male and I am losing hair from the top of my head so that I can easily notice the baldness coming with a mirror. I am very much concerned about it and need URGENT help for it. I have read about two medicines, one is Regaine Extra Strength (solution) which contains minoxidil, and the other medicine is Finasteride which are oral tablets. I want to ask if anyone has ever used it for the same purpose and the affects of it or if anyone else knows any other remedies for baldness other than treatments shown in ads. PLZ HELP !!!

Topical minoxidil and oral finasteride are the only two treatments currently approved by the Food and Drug Administration [USA] for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia. Both of these medications prevent further hair loss but are only able to partially reverse the baldness. Both require continuous use to maintain effectives. As effectiveness may take 6-12 months to become apparent, these agents should be used for at least 1 year before deciding whether to continue treatment.

Please check the source link below for additional information. And by the way, a worthwhile mate won't worry about your hair. Unless it ends up on someone else's collar...!

I am not familiar with Finasteride, but I know a little of Rogaine(minoxidil), it usually works well in the early stages of balding however once you begin using and hair starts to regrow, you must continue use if you stop your new hair growth will come out also. I know there are many new topical solutions out there that are suppose to be better than Rogaine now. You may want to check into them before starting on an oral tablet re: side effects and all

I'm balding too, my friend. I'm 38 though. I started losing my hair at 17. I had a friend who used Rogaine. It made a difference but it really wasn't what he wanted. His hair grew thicker everywhere he wasn't bald and only mild new growth where he was bald. In other words, it worked but it didn't work well. He also developed the worst case of dandruff I have ever seen.
I hated watching him go through this because I was actually considering trying Rogaine. Because of what it did to his hair and scalp I decided against it.
There is no cure for baldness. You are going to lose your hair, anyway. Even the best treatments are risky, because you have to take medications that messes with the natural balance of chemicals in your body. Or you have to go get the rag-doll plugs. Baldness is no big deal. Whether or not you have hair should not define you. Just because your bald doesn't mean people won't find you attractive. It just means your bald.

Good luck friend and balding is OK.
