My exboyfriend grew up with gynecomostia and had a very troubled childhood because of it. He was teased a lot and was never comfortable going to the beach or the pool without a shirt on. He saw doctors when he was younger, and they told him he'd grow out of it. He started working out a lot and as he gained more muscle in his chest, it went away. But I believe he still had it until he was 19 or 20. I would recommend trying to get rid of it the old-fashioned way - by working out, if that's possible. If it's still a problem, plastic surgery/liposuction might be your only alternative.
