I am a male. I can feel a bump under my nipple. It feels like a button (buttons for clothing, not the buttons you press). it hurts a little when touched and you can see that it is bigger than my other nipple. Could this be gynecomastia or maybe even breast cancer? thanks.

Either one is a possibility. But the fact that it's tender is a good sign that it's probably NOT cancer.

Gynecomastia is a more likely suspect. You should have a doctor check you out. Better safe than sorry.

It is possible for it to be gynecomastia or breast tumor. Men can (and do) get breast cancer, too. Early detection is the key for any breast mass, be it on a male or a female. See your doctor so he can assess this abnormal finding. It may not be anything serious, but let your doc be the judge of that.
