I need virus help! Viagra messages...System 32....?
Help!! I know a bit about computers, but I know NOTHING about viruses. Every time you turn the computer on, the folder called "System32" is open, and an error message pops up that says Error loading C:\WINDOWS\System32\__C009614E.dat The specified module could not be found.
Also, sometimes a similar box pops (Called RegSvr32) that says LoadLibrary(C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\qfshivsj.dll") failed. The specified module could not be found.
Also, there is a box that pops up every 10 minutes or so and says Warning Get Free Viagra Now! OK Cancel.
My Trend Micro Internet Security keeps opening a website that says Trend Micro Internet Security has identified this webpage as undesirable. Address: http://scanner.adwareremover2007.com/5/?avid=1213 Type: Spyware.
I've done virus scans and spyware sweeps with Trend Micro and it will find threats, but it always says it fixes everything.
I have no idea, and I can't convince the low-tech owner to take it to a repair shop
Oh, one more thing. When I go to google or yahoo search and enter in an item to search for the next page that pops up is a security screen that wants me to enter a code. I'm pretty sure that search engines haven't made this a new policy since I left work today. And then a little box from Trend Micro pops up and says Your Hosts file has changed! To remove the suspicious address from the Hosts file, click Clean. Click Allow to approve of this change to your Hosts file. Address: www.google.com What would you like to do? Clean Allow.
This computer has had Trend Micro for a while and used google PLENTY of times and never had any problem like this before.
I'm not paying for another virus program, as I just bot Trend Micro in November in hopes of taking care of this problem.
The computer HAD AGV before paying for Trend Micro, and it got the virus when AGV was running always and regular virus checks. I bought Trend Micro because AGV was not doing it's job.
